The brand aims to transform skin and overall well-being, with products as distinctive as the women who wear them.
Their botanicals are carefully chosen from its nutritious soil – making sure to harvest each plant no more than two times before re-planting. This careful process results in a lower yield but ensures the unparalleled purity and therapeutic benefit of their oils. Our ancestors were the gatekeepers of their craft – handcrafting essential oil blends in the Ayurvedic tradition – and passed down this expertise over generations.
UMA Oils - Our Founder
Founder Shrankhla Holecek was raised in India, and immersed in the knowledge and cultural tradition of Ayurveda and holistic medicine. When she moved to Beverly Hills for business school, she soon found herself surrounded by misappropriations of the Indian rituals and Ayurvedic practices she had grown up with. Frustrated, she decided it was time to create a line of products with integrity – one that would do justice to her family’s heritage, and its extraordinary legacy of craftsmanship.
With Uma, Shrankhla strove to give women access to powerful, artisanal products that would deliver dramatic results – of the rapid, perceptible, and sustainable variety.
This is why our oils are a combination of ultra-pure botanicals and time-tested formulas – tailored to address the stressors and ailments we face in the modern world. Tested by over a thousand women, our proprietary skincare blends delivered visible results in skin brightness and clarity, and reduced fine lines in 93% of women surveyed.
